One of the best, if not the best book, to document the horrors of Communist atrocities is the Black Book of Communism.

It's important to note that it was written by French socialists. Because if it were written by people on the right, the horrific facts cataloged in this book would be dismissed as anti-Communist/Left sensationalism.

Even though the book was published 10 years ago, the part that explains under-developed countries' eager embrace of this deadly ideology is worthy of reading especially in light of the reascendance of Leftism in Central America, today.

Thank you Tuleesh, I just added it to my Amazon Wish List!

And you are right, it is quite topical today, especially in Latin America!

Of course we have a "President" who could not find time to fly to Berlin and honor the end of communism in Europe, since he would have to celebrate the disintegration of his underlying political philosopy and honor Reagan.
